This is the end of the finger of Horseshoe Bend. The finger is the ridge around which the Colorado River flows, forming the bend in the shape of a horseshoe. I shot this from the south rim, looking north-northwest. The Horseshoe Bend viewpoint is off to the right. In this scene, the unseen Colorado River flows in an S-pattern about 1000 feet below.
