This cholla cactus has no problem putting out delicate blooms during the hottest time of the year in this area.
The mercury rose to 109 F (~43 C) today but this cactus wasn't deterred in the least.

I am very familiar with the Cholla, including its sharp, sticky spines but don't recall the lovely flowers, I also don't recall temperatures above 107 deg.."V"
