Leaf-cutter Ants

Santa Rosa National Park, Costa Rica

It was amazing to see the long lines of ants carrying pieces of leaves down the trunks to their burrows, with a line of ants returning in the opposite direction. We saw them while climbing the mountain to go zip-lining and even on the resort.
