This weekend I was helping a fairly new bird photographer to build his skills. During our time together we came across this beautiful male Prothonotary Warbler who was foraging in the low vegetation near a pond. I had my EF 100-400mm IS II with me and it turned out to be a great opportunity to put the lens to the test. The bird at a couple of points came within a few feet of us allowing this shot.
