North wing mosaic (Roman) - Rosette Mosaic and tessellated floor - this polychrome mosaic floor was laid in the 2nd or 3rd c and at it's centre is a rosette with six panels and next to it is a small blackbird. The remainder of the panel is filled with an irregular meander pattern surrounded by coloured reel-shapes. The red tessellated pavement into which the mosaic is set and the mosaic have subsided into an earlier drainage gully.
