(NOTE: I didn't actually take this image, so I am entering it on behalf of my vet who did take it.)
A couple of days ago I took Timmy cat to the vet for a flea treatment. (Fleas are really bad here this year.) That night, Timmy developed a fever and started having some breathing issues and I though he might be having a bad reaction to the earlier treatment. So we took him to an emergency vet. Timmy is okay and pretty much fully recovered, but we discovered something at the vet's. This is an x-ray of Timmy from that vet visit. Apparently, some time in the past, someone shot Timmy with a pellet gun. The doctor said that white object in the lower section of the image is apparently a pellet inside Timmy's body. (The white object near the top of the image is Timmy's ID microchip.) The doctor said it is not necessary to remove the pellet, as it should not cause any problems being there. If you have outdoor pets, remember that it's dangerous out there. Timmy apparently grew up on the streets ... don't really know his background. But, nowadays, Timmy spends most of his time inside. But he does still love the outdoors when the weather is good.
