Sometimes too many but always bringing colour to the fields. It's the tiny crickets that flock around our local dandelions.

Hmmm... I did not know that. We get our fair share of lion's teeth here but I've never seen the bees raiding them. The bottle brush trees are probably a more target rich environment, so they don't bother with the Dandes.
I hope that this was an intentional arrangement and not just something that you came up with after Fudge got a little over exuberant during a game of ball throwing and took your legs out.
