Today is Sunday. I like Sunday. We went to church and met up with our friends in the parish hall for some coffee and donuts. The usual drill. After that we made the rounds to Home Depot, Kohls, WalMart, Kroger and HEB. Ginny decided that she wanted to do a little shopping without my help. That sounded good to me. So she hit the road about noon and didn't return until about 5:30. During this field excursion she was shopping for throw rugs and other stuff including sofas. As you might remember the sofas in the living room were destroyed by the flood. We also had a sofa upstairs in front of the TV that has been there for over 30 years. It was in need of either replacement or refurbishment. It had been a favorite of ours all along. At first we thought replacement was the ticket, but after the restorer returned our other tables and we saw the terrific job he did, we decided to let him have a go at fixing the sofa. During Ginny's trip today she found a leather sofa that she thought might be a good replacement. My son Robert has two sofas like this and they works very well for him in his living room where the TV is mounted up over the fireplace. We thought and thought and finally decided that our refurbished old one was just the ticket. I have logged many hours watching the tube and sleeping on that one. I am anxious to get it back. It is uncomfortable watching TV sitting on the floor.
