Project Day 83 - Exile Day 33 - And so the crew is back at it today. Some definite signs of progress. The kitchen window got replaced and the hood was installed where the cook top will be placed. Ginny agonized over the hood selection, but when installed she likes it a lot. Me too, but I am easily amused and if Ginny likes it, I like it. Tomorrow is going to be a big day. The counter tops are going to be installed. There is still painting going on. The painters have made quite a mess of things because of all the plastic and floor protection. They seem to get a lot of stray paint on the unfinished floors and on the floor protection. Once they clean up and bug out, it will start looking like a house a lot more than it does today. Those guys have to reinstall a lot of doors and paint all the walls before they are done. Probably several days yet to go.
I spent a lot of time today screwing around trying to scan some color negatives with the V850. The scans are fine but the color reproduction with both VueScan and EpsonScan are not very good. Nikon has excellent software that only works with their scanners. I have the Nikon in storage under cloth at the house for the duration of the remodeling exercise. Same with my color epson printer. We have our HP laserjet printer at the hotel.
Today's photo is of Santos and Diego making final measurements with the installation of the hood.
