These pieces of rope are my budget battery lift straps. The box did not come with the kit, and this is the only lead-acid battery I could find that had the correct cold cranking amps that fit the box. There are Optima batteries that fit the box, but they are three times the cost. The trunk aluminum will have to be cut out for access to the box. I had to cut, bend and drill a piece of flat bar to create the hold down strap. The box is mounted close to where the battery hangers that came with the kit would have mounted. I put several layers of electrical tape on the hold down strap to prevent shorting the battery if it gets loose in the box. The cables will have insulating caps on them, too.
