Northern Harrier

Milldale, Virginia

Without setting up a blind, I find getting close to Northern Harriers almost impossible. They are, however, one of my favorite raptors.
This female had something pinned to the ground which allowed me to get a 50X image which I cropped close to a 1:1 pixel display.
Best viewed in 'original' size.
