On the Heroes' Square (Heldenplatz) - the equestrian statue of Archduke Charles of Austria, designed by Anton Dominik Fernkorn with socles by Eduard van der Nüll.
It was inaugurated in 1860 and was meant to glorify the Habsburg dynasty as great Austrian military leaders.
I photographed it when some demonstration of Turkish people was held on the plaza.
