West Wycombe

Buckinghamshire view map

A delightful village just to the west of the much larger High Wycombe which was once owned by the Dashwood family, but following the Wall Street Crash of 1929 it was sold and for many years has been owned by The National Trust thereby ensuring its olde worlde charm is retained as far as possible. The prominent building here is the Church Loft Meeting House which featured on my PAD on 19th December 2003. That day I purchased my first ever DSLR quite near here, but of course I had to charge the batteries first!

I think we passed through this town on our way to Oxford? What a wonderful old building.

That is just beautiful...I'm so pleased you have such a strong National Trust to see these treasures remain
