swanky boats at an expensive location...False Creek provides safe harbour, yet easy access to the nearby ocean...the view is towards the east from Granville Island
to answer Vern's question...in 1859 British hydrographer Captain George Richards, while surveying the area, sailed here up what he first thought was a creek, realized it was actually an inlet, and declared that is was a 'false' creek
