Max and Simon

This is my grandson, Max, with one of his mom's foster dogs, Simon. Max was born with an anomaly in his neck, which made it unstable and at risk of fracturing. He had surgery to stabilize his neck 3 years ago, but his neck pain has continued. When it gets really bad he lies flat on his back and Simon just seemed to sense what Max needed. Max's mom says this gentle pressure actually alleviates much of Max's pain. Dogs are such amazing creatures!
The photo was taken by Max's mom. (They live in California) and processed by me.
