Day 26 - It is Superbowl Sunday here in the colonies. The Superbowl is one of the few football games that I look forward to watch. The NFL season has been interesting. The Houston Texans made it into the playoffs, but lost the first round. The Green Bay Packers made it to the league championship and lost. As a result I had no dog in the hunt for the Superbowl.

Our friends Bill and Maria invited us to their house to watch the game. That means food must be provided by all attendees. One of my favorite game watching snacks is Ginny's famous seven layer dip which you see proudly displayed here. It was a hit with our friends. Maria made a pot of shrimp and crab gumbo which was very good.

In the end we were treated to a very exciting football game. The Patriots pulled off an amazing come from behind win. It is always more fun to watch a game where the final result turns out to be a cliff hanger.
