Day-23-I have been a facebook subscriber for quite a while. After our 40th high school reunion we wanted some medium to gather classmates together and make the process of future reunions easier. At the beginning, it was a lot of fun. I connected with people I hadn't heard from in 40 years. The 45th reunion was a lot of fun because a lot more classmates were in the know ahead of time. One side advantage was that my Facebook friends at the reunion knew and recognized Ginny which made for a better experience for her.
One disturbing trend on facebook recently is the advent of venomous posts about politics. Those on the left side of political spectrum have become so outrageous that I just decided I don't need that crap. Yeah, you can disregard the posts that are found to be awful. I unfriended several people just because they posted a lot and they posted just awful venom. Now, you have to remember that friends and facebook friends are two different things. The latter is some artificial moniker that makes facebook tick. So unfirending somebody is not rejection as a friend.
Anyway, today I decided to call it quits for a while. Walk away from it and forget about it. I kept my account active because our 50th reunion is coming up next year. Maybe things will settle down.
