Hoodoos - Looking Down

Bisti Wilderness Area, NM

Looking down on this hoodoo which itself is looking down on a little gray valley. By the way, all the little red colored chips you see scattered about are pieces of petrified wood. Sorry for this onslaught of hoodoo pictures. I am just fascinated with them.

I love the hoodoos too. Amazing what Mother Nature can do with some wind, water and time. :) V

It’s amazing to see these bits of more resistant material dotting the landscape. The geologic time involved in the creation of this scene is also staggering. Fine photo, Dan. Vote.
