A wide boulevard built by Mussolini to celebrate himself (he thought himself as great as the Roman emperors), its building involved the destruction of existing buildings and ancient ruins that stood in the way. It starts at the Colosseum and ends at the Piazza Venezia.

The boulevard is usually crowded with tourists these days.
