New Year Challenge - Brown Pelican

It is a dark and dreary day today but there were several pelicans, seagulls, etc on the posts at Lincoln Park. So, a pelican for the New Year! The reach of the Nikon P900 comes in handy for such a bird at quite a distance.

Amazing texture to the back feathers. Looks like you had a nice day out with Nature. We never see Brown Pelicans here.
