MV Sea Adventurer is a small but ice-capable ship which specializes in polar excursions. In 2016, Donna, Yifei and I joined 100+ clients and 80 expedition team members for this adventure. We were onboard the ship for three weeks, traveling 3600 nautical miles while continent and island hopping in the Southern Ocean region. The ship was self-sufficient, carrying enough fresh water, food and fuel for the entire expedition. It was at Portal Point of Antarctica, where I took the polar plunge challenge -- momentarily dipping myself into the freezing water.
