Wasp with spider

Frances's kitchen window (outside)

The wasp was dragging the spider (paralysed, I am informed) up the glass. It lost
its foothold on the glass several times, but kept trying. This was a big wasp – body
length about 18 - 20 mm. Definitely a more scary beast than the spider!

This wasp looks like it would cause a bit of pain and for some reason being bright red looks even more nasty. Great capture! v

insect wars... I saw a spider-wasp fight in Western Australia once... the wasp was bright blue and looked monstrous..

Great shot! It was only paralyzed. Food for the next generation of wasps. V
