Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Warsaw, Poland

Golabki (Stuffed Cabbage Rolls), common in Polish cuisine, are made from lightly soft-boiled cabbage leaves wrapped around minced pork or beef, chopped onions, and rice.
They are baked in a casserole dish and are usually served with a creamy tomato sauce.

We have something similar in Croatia. It is called Sarma and differs from yours by the way it is cooked in sauercrout and wrapped in cabbage leaves that have been pickled in salt. A lot of work to prepare but worth the effort.

I love cabbage rolls. Where I grew up, in Pittsburgh, there are a lot of Polish people. Cabbage rolls were always served at a wedding. Yum. Nicely photographed too.

It sounds wonderful, much better than the food I had there in the late 60's
