Posteriormente, durante la Guerra Civil Española (1936-1939) fueron quemadas la mayor parte de las Iglesias en casi todo el territorio español, especialmente en el Sur.

Between 1808 and 1814 the Gerra de la Independencia was developed against the troops of Napoleón. The Napoleonic troops did not take long to plunder much of the Spanish Artistic Heritage, devastating every town where they arrived, especially in the South.
Later, during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) most of the Churches were burned in almost all Spanish territory, especially in the South.
