Sedona, Arizona

Snoopy Rock and Lucy Rock

This was my first time visiting Sedona, Arizona and totally fell in love with this beautiful location! I never expected to find such magnificent beauty in such an arid climate. The fall colors were still going pretty strong, and contrasted well against the red rocks with deep blue skies holding nicely shaped clouds was a dream-come-true sort of day.

There are two well known rock formations in this photo, as indicated by the title of this shot. Snoopy Rock is smaller on the right side and looks like the beloved Peanuts character, Snoopy as lying on his back on his dog house. Lucy Rock is larger on the left and appears as her head lying on her back.

I definitely will be returning to Sedona next fall and spend several days if not longer exploring this region as much as I can!

Dear Jim,
I loved the sky when I saw the thumbnail!!
When I looked at the bigger picture, i loved the depth of the
different textures and contrasts of the foliage .
I, too find this type of country enthralling.
I spent a short time in Colorado, Utah and Arizona, driving around in country like this.
Your photograph brings back happy memories.
Thank you, Jim.
