shell

a mere shell of its former self, Kitsilano Secondary School has been gutted during renovations...the overall concept is seismic upgrading...evidently the 100 year old façade will be retained, although ultimately it does not seem such a rich heritage feature

Looks quite modern and almost flimsy for being that age. Well documented David.

Great picture, sometimes its best to let buildings go...

An interesting bit of architecture ~ reminds me of a modern day tudor!

That must have been a fine looking building in its day! I have to wonder, why are buildings so old in Europe, etc, and they get torn down here in not all that many years?

It looks like one of those facades used in old movies. Super angle for this interesting shot. V

Love the shot - so cool with the sightless windows - but I bet it's more expensive to renovate than start afresh. V

A very interesting photo and I really like the point of view.

What a great perspective for this facade, and the school is literally a shell of its former self. Seems like they just could have rebuilt the entire thing.

Nicely shot, David. The facade doesn't appear to be 100 years old.
