Biplane

Definitely a "blast from the past" as it originated in the late 1800's as a glider, and then
was first successfully flown under it's own power in 1903 by the Wright Brothers.
As a point of personal history, my grandmother was an acquaintance of the Wright Brothers. :)

Biplanes are awesome! I like that you caught this one in the sky and left a lot of negative space around it.

Definitely an oldie. Nice find.

Although not as old as your grandmother, who knew the Wright Brothers, my mom used to regularly fly in a bi-plane similar to this as a teenager. Her boyfriend was a professional stunt flyer back in "the good old days". While practicing, he'd take her up in his plane. However, her folks never knew about her taking this risk. She has some amazing stories to tell about those times.
