Bronze tap from a bath at Damatrys Palace
Damatras Palace: located at current the Sançaktepe Municipality, first built for hunting and relaxation, later accommodating the Byanztine army as any expedition to Anatolia passed here. Built under Tiberius II (578-582) and Maurikios (582-602) and in use till the end of the 13th century. Excavated 2013-2015
