derailed

Reifel Bird Sanctuary, Westham Island

plans were derailed today...a trip south of the city to visit an old friend first involved a digression to check out the nearby bird sanctuary...news was out that thousands of snow geese had amassed at the location...a long walk about the wetlands revealed not a single goose, so eventually sat on a pond-side bench for a little rest...within minutes a quartet of sandhill cranes came strolling by, checking out local food options, yet wary all the same...I never did get to my friend's house

They are nicely arranged in the frame with a minimum of merging. The derailing turned into a plus in the end. V
