Burrowed Ground

Warsaw, Poland

In the Northern part of Warsaw where we live, close to woods on the outskirts, wild boars are regular visitorst, roaming around, even in the places where many people live. They dig up the ground in search for food, preferably acorns under the oak trees.
The damage caused by them can be rather extensive, like on this meadow that looks as if ploughed through by a tractor.

We have feral hogs - mean pigs who come though the edges of our town. They come in herds and leave a mess like this. Interesting to see it in Poland too.

A bit scary to think of them being so close to your dwellings...and what a mess they make !
