As you are all mostly aware of, we have an enormous project going on at home as a result of the flood. Lots of stuff is going out the door. In my lifetime I have managed to get involved in many hobbies. I had great fun with them all. The interest would last for a while then I would move on. One of those hobbies was model rocketry. It was great to do with my sons. That particular hobby went by the wayside more than 20 years ago.
I built quite a few rockets. I pulled out about 40 of them. These two are among the largest. I also pulled together all the ancillary stuff. It included lots of parts, kits, rocket engines and parachutes. So today I took it all and donated it to the NASA Houston Rocket Club. I was a member of that way back when I was flying these rockets. I did save a rocket that is worthy of being displayed and a fancy parachute that I designed and sewed. It was a bittersweet moment, but I realized that I had moved on a long time ago and that there was no way I would ever launch another rocket.
