Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program Honored Richard Cooley WW2 Veteran and Pilot 286

Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program Honored Richard Cooley, WW2 Veteran and Pilot 286 by flying him to San Jose airport in their brand new Boeing 737-900 airplane dedicated to our fallen soldiers. Dick Cooley flew P-38 Lighting in European Theater during WW2 and was injured while on dive test flight in P-38. After 40 years Dick got his pilot license with only one arm and flew F33 Bonanza. Dick was married to our dear friend Bridget whom she continued to fly the Bonanza around Washington. Alaska Airlines staffs and crew were fabulous today with the loading of Dick's casket in airplane and looking after Bridget for flight to San Jose for his final resting place. I was very touched along with the passengers looking out from the airplane windows. http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/news/2016/09/22/wells-fargo-ceo-richard-dick-cooley-dies-obituary.html

This is an emotional picture. More so when I noticed the faces of the passengers in the windows.

Very touching and I'll make an effort to always remember what is written above that man's head.

Excellent capture- the somber blue really does fit the occasion. Thank your for sharing this moving story with us! ~V~
