Hello November!
It's in the 70's today in Chicagoland - quite hot out, in fact.
The sky is blue, the grass is bright green, the wind is gusting like it's an
unseasonably warm day in April. Bees are droning, and confused flowers are
blooming again. The maple trees are glorious shades of flame and gold.
It's unseasonal. It's uncanny.
But stranger than all these things -
it's a day of baseball for the Cubs.
It's the type of day that's strange enough, it feels like anything can happen.

The C.S. Lewis poem I posted the other day keeps going through my head...
This year, this year, as all these flowers foretell,
We shall escape the circle and undo the spell.
So, Let's Go, Cubbies.
Of course, I know these words apply just as well to Cleveland Indians fans. :-)
The Indians are playing great - beating them will take a real champion.
One way or another, a spell will be undone.
