Last Night's Super Moon

Think I need a longer lens!

The Northern Hemisphere’s full Hunter’s Moon for 2016 falls the nights of October 15 and 16, missed it by 1 night...

The full moon of November 14, 2016 is not only the biggest, closest and brightest supermoon of the year.
It’s the closest supermoon thus far in the 21st century (2001 to 2100).
The moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034.

WOW! Great shot! V

Excellent sharp detail. The dark edge actually shows more detail than if it were a total full moon. The shadows add lots of detail. Voted.

Wow, fantastic shot. I went out looking at this but didn't even attempt a shot. Fabulous work. V

a fine and clean capture...hereabouts the large moon was only a rumour thanks to close knit rainclouds..

Very nice shot. Did you crop quite a bit? If so, it came out well.

Wow, that is a superb capture! I saw the moon from the car on Oct. 15 but not in a place where we could stop, plus didn't have a good camera with me anyway. But it was orange and enormous and breathtaking! V.

2034 gives you plenty of time to save up for a longer lens, Martin
