Muriwai Coast, New Zealand-16234

There are a lonely 3 Gannet colonies on the New Zealand mainland: Muriwai, Cape Kidnappers (near Napier), and Farewell Spit (northern end of South Island). Cape Kidnappers is the largest but Muriwai is the most accessible site. I have made a number of visits to the Muriwai Gannet colony over the years and still love taking photographs of these wonderful sea birds, not to mention the rugged scenery.
