The Throne Room
The grand living quarters and ceremonial rooms, including the throne room and an ancestral portrait gallery, impress the visitor with their rich sculptural and painted decor, complemented by ornate inlaid flooring.The Museum Schloss Schwerin presents valuable paintings, sculptures and artisan craftwork, mainly from the 19th century, across three floors. Special highlights are the porcelain collection with exhibits from Meissen and KPM (Royal Porcelain Manufactory), as well as the extensive collection of royal hunting and decorative weapons.Today Schloss Schwerin houses the State Parliament (Landtag) of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
