Lower Pool Water Fall

Zion National Park

This was taken at the lower pool. The shot with the parameters showing is in pending.
I didn't have a tripod, or a neutral density filter with me, but I wanted a more silky look, bridal veil, to the falling water.
So I improvised. I braced myself, took a 11 shot rapid fire burst, took them into Photoshop, aligned them, made them a smart object, and then averaged them. This produced the silky veiled look to the water which I then brightened up in LR via highlights.

Thanks, Paul. I sort of stumbled on this last year when I was doing some HDR work on some streams in Madera Canyon. I found that the HDR produced a sort of "averaged" water flow look. I figured if 3 shots were good, then 11 or 12 would be better.

Creative approach to solving a problem especially since the camera reports it was high noon. Lovely scene by the way. Paul
