An empty re-positioning move of domestic containers from Texas to the Pacific Northwest in August 2015 passes the same ridges seen in the previous image. The weather in July and August was surprisingly bland, with numerous late afternoon thunderstorms but awkward cloud cover most of the day. The large rock structures are said to reflect many colors in the sunshine but over a half dozen visits I don't think I've seen anything but cloud cover in this area.
The location is along SR211 Horse Creek road between the townsite of Farthing (MP 162.5) and the end of paved road, near the siding of Lambert at MP 170. Written permission is required to reproduce any material contained in this website.
