Looking Up...

Normally I have no difficulty choosing between the both versions
but undecided I chose to upload them both.

- Ft. Langley, BC -

The story of St. George’s Anglican Church began in 1859, when the
Hudson Bay Company’s chaplain, the Reverend W.B. Crickmer, built
a church at Derby, three miles west of the present town of Fort Langley
and the original site of the Hudson Bay Company’s fort. By 1871, the
colony at Derby had dwindled and Reverend Crickmer returned to England.

In 1879, the church was moved across the Fraser River to Maple Ridge. This
same year, the Diocese of New Westminster was formed under Bishop Sillitoe
and the Langley parish came under the charge of the Reverend William Bell,
who conducted services in the school house and in the Big House at the Fort.

Tough choice but I might go for the B&W here. Vote.

Both are great but the black and white really stands out., Excellent perspective fitting for the stately church. V

Hard to choose for sure ! Think I'll go with the B&W too - somehow the sky adds drama to the shot ! V

I can understand your ambiguity. The mono is stark as is the composition. The color version is more friendly. I believe the mono is more impressive. It is the photographer to show what impression he wants to get across.

The point of view is great and both photos and wonderful. I believe my favorite is the black and white.

While both shots are visually appealing, the mono carries added drama. Very well done. V

Like them both, think the B&W is my favorite. The 21mm Zeiss really brings out the tones so well! V
