Born outside the Brite Star family, Spot was the grand daughter of Chrissy and Coco's litter sister Panda. That trio were born here. Panda, however, went to a new home at an early age. Christy and Coco stayed here & went on to both become history making show Chihuahuas. However, neither Chrissy or Coco ever produced any offspring. Therefore, it seemed as if that branch of the family had been lost to Brite Star Chihuahuas and to the ages.

However years later, gentle Spot unexpectedly brought the bloodlines home. As a 2 year old, she came to us from another show breeder. Although not the most "typey" (in head type)of girls, Spot was extremely sound of mind, structure, and movement. When bred back to the Brite Star line, she gave us ULTRA TYPEY & absolutely gorgeous children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her descendents also possessed all her good points that I saw in her from the very first time we met.

Fate obviously meant her to be part of our family. She was a devoted ONE family Chihuahua (us: her second family). For some reason, she never bonded in her first home... However, Spot was an unbelievably sweet and loving girl. For the 16 years that she was a part of our lives, we dearly loved and found joy in her. Beyond the Brite Star puppies she gave us, this girl enriched our lives by just being herself. From a somewhat emotionally neglected start in life (living in an out building in Texas), Spot was able to live out most of her life as a much treasured house pet in our home. Spot lived to be 18 years old. We miss you, Spot.

As a note: Spot's breeder was a friend and a reputable breeder who took good care of her dogs.
However, Spot really did end up with a better life with us as a house pet and not just another kennel dog. Spot was very dearly loved by us for all the years we had together. She will never be forgotten.
