Whilst out walking along the cycling/walking track (Victorian side) Gateway Island, beside the Murray River -
which forms the state border between NSW and Victoria, SE Australia - I spotted this beautiful, charming,
inquisitive little creature, about 100mm (4") from beak to tail. Talk about jittery! It never seemed to remain
still for long.
When it heard the first shutter release sound, it cocked its head ever so slightly upwards and to one side, which
you can tell - in this second shot - by the reflection of the sun being positioned in the bottom half of its eye.
