I think this may be my favorite of my lockstation series to date. At Edmonds Lock, a canal was cut around a set of rapids in the Rideau River and the thin strip of land between the lock and river offers a nice all-in-one scene of the locks to the left and the spillway to the right with the swing bar mechanism in the foreground. The swing bar mechanism is an older style that was largely replaced by the space-saving push-pull mechanism.
