A well known local artist is shown creating a lengthy mural that depicts the history of the very diverse Community of Whitney Pier.
The mural brings back memories for long time residents and also helps to educate the youth about bygone days. This picture shows a section of the mural. The mural is completed with an updated picture to be added.

In August 2016 Whitney Pier was recognized as a Heritage Community during celebrations in the Community.
