It is hard to think back to the time when this species was such a rarity here. I can remember when the first one was found in the Mer Bleue area, in the eastern part of the city, and how the butterfly enthusiasts rushed out to see it. That was about 20 years ago. Now it is found throughout the region and is fairly common.
