While the dogs do their duty Ken does his duty and what a shocking moment you found.
I'm surprised to learn from Jim that Minnesota dosent have them because we certainly have them in my neck of the midwest. Paul

Thanks, Jim! When I first saw one of the assassin bugs a few weeks ago, I had no clue as to what it was. Thanks to the Internet, I was able to figure it out ... now it seems that I see them everywhere here in Louisiana! They are really tiny and blend in with the plants, but if you see a lot of bees around a plant here, you can pretty much expect to see some assassin bugs, too -- if you look close enough. - Ken

Thanks, Traveller! You're pretty much correct. I'm (once again) puppy sitting for my brother & sister-in-law and when I let the dogs out in the backyard to do their thing, I usually grab my camera and go check around the blooming plants to see what I can find. This is what I discovered this afternoon. - Ken

Very nice capture - and I learned about a new bug. According to what I could find, it doesn't inhabit the north where I have spent most of my life, nor is it in SE Arizona.

Excellent and creative interpenetration of the topic....(you were looking for another bee shot weren't you....and came across this great drama by almost accident....lol)

Love it.
