This is a collaborative effort. My friend, Mary Drymon, PHD., took the photo and I edited it. July 25th was Red Shoes Day. Here are Mary's words describing what Red Shoe Day is all about;
"RED SHOE DAY, JULY 25! These are reproductions of the style of shoes that the women of New England would have been wearing in the 1690-1720 time period. I'm wearing them in memory of all historic Lyme victims from the past who suffered from this disease, thought that they were cursed by witchcraft or who were accused of being witches!"
Mary is the author of "Disguised as the Devil - How Lyme Disease Created Witches" Mary also suffers from chronic Lyme Disease.
