Thamnophilus doliatus

The first time I saw a Barred Antshrike was down in Mexico and I very impressed with its bold patterns and “attitude.” The male is a striking black and white. This bird is a female which I find to be equally appealing. We photographed this bird last October during our Costa Rica trip. It will definitely be on our target list this October when we return.
