This turtle was sold here as a pet but is indigenous to the southern states. It's been released in the pond some years ago.



A week earlier this one was out on the grass perhaps looking to lay eggs. It was a really hot day
and its shell was very dry.
Last summer I was lucky and did see a Red-eared Slider laying eggs in the park so there has to
be at least two in the ponds.
