This view provides a clue as to why those of us visiting today who had floated the river at other times had never seen the falls of Fall Creek. We had chosen a higher-flow channel that took us into a piece of the river we can't see here, flowing along to the left of this view. The cottonwoods at eye level there screened our view in this direction.
