This was the last day of our epic road trip. We got up early in Little Rock to take some photos of the Capitol, then hit the road for home. We arrived back in Houston at about 4 pm. It was nice to be home and I had remembered to leave some beers in the refrigerator which provided a welcome refreshment before we started unloading the car.

We traveled 8581 miles in 59 days. That seems like a lot of driving, and it is. But it is only a 145 mile per day average. We had some long driving days, but for the most part the driving isn't too onerous. Now we are home for about six weeks before we start another adventure, this time pointed west. I am really looking forward to that.
